Instructions

Your objective is to fix the text using as few keystrokes as possible. You control the blinking cursor trough VIM motions and commands (h to go left, dw to delete a word and so on). The crossed out red letters should be deleted and the words in purple bubbles should be added. Semi transparent dotted square in the purple bubble indicates a space before or after the word. When a single letter is to be replaced by another, the wrong letter is crossed out and the correct letter is written diagonally above it.

This quiz (brought to you by VIM Adventures) isn't meant to teach you gradually or cover a lot of ground (that's what the full game is for); it's meant to give you an idea of how proficient you are in VIM.

Oh, and just so you know - the text can be fixed in 74 keystrokes.

OK, OK, OK...

Yes, VIM allows using the cursor keys in order to move around so this game also allows it.

However, for a pure VIM experience you should stick to using 'h', 'j', 'k' and 'l'. It's considered more efficient since you don't have to move your hand from the home row when you're typing.

But since this game allows both, you can decide what's best for you.
